This policy explains what personal information Fragen Network Private Limited ("Platterly", "we", "us") collects when you visit platterly.in or use Caterly by Platterly at catering.platterly.in, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who this policy covers
It covers two groups of people. Business customers are the caterers and their team members who create a Platterly account. Customers of a business are the people a caterer records in Platterly (for example someone who orders from them or chooses a menu on their link).
For the information a business customer gives us to run their account, Platterly decides how it is used. For the information a caterer records about their own customers, the caterer decides why it is collected and Platterly only stores and processes it on the caterer's behalf, following their instructions.
2. What we collect
From business customers
- Name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Business details such as the kitchen name, address, GST number and logo.
- Billing records for your Platterly plan: plan, amounts, dates, GST invoices and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with our payment provider and are never stored by Platterly.
- Team members you invite, and the roles you give them.
- Settings you choose, including notification and device-push preferences.
From people who contact us
- The name, email address and phone number you enter on the Talk to us or Contact us forms, and the page you sent it from. We use them only to contact you about the demo.
About a caterer's own customers
- Whatever the caterer or the customer enters: name, phone, email, event details, venue, guest counts, menu choices, notes, orders and payments.
Automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser, device type and approximate location (city) when you visit a caterer's public page. The IP address, city and browser details of these visits are deleted after 90 days.
- Records of important actions in an account (who changed what and when), kept so the account owner can review them.
- Cookies that keep you signed in and remember simple choices such as whether the sidebar is open. See section 7.
3. How we use it
- To provide, secure and support Caterly by Platterly, including sign-in, email verification and password reset.
- To take payment for your plan, issue GST invoices and keep the financial records the law requires.
- To send messages about your account and service, such as verification codes, receipts, trial and plan reminders, and notices of changes.
- To send messages on a caterer's behalf, when the caterer asks us to (for example a link to approve a menu).
- To understand how the product is used and improve it, using summary figures rather than individual customers' content.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal duties.
We send marketing messages about Platterly only where you have agreed, and every such message tells you how to stop them.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run Platterly under contract and only for that purpose: payment processing (Razorpay), email delivery (Zoho ZeptoMail), message delivery for WhatsApp where a caterer or Platterly uses it, hosting and infrastructure, and error monitoring.
- The caterer whose account holds the information, which is theirs to use and manage.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of people or of Platterly.
- A buyer or successor, if Platterly is ever merged or sold, with the same protections for your information.
5. Where it is stored and how long we keep it
Information is stored on secure servers. Each caterer's data is kept separate from every other caterer's, and access inside Platterly is limited to people who need it. We keep account information while the account is active and for as long afterwards as is needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymise it. A caterer can delete all the data in their account from Settings, and can ask us to delete their account in writing.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to: tell you what personal information we hold about you; correct what is wrong or incomplete; delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it; withdraw a consent you gave; and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. If you are a customer of a caterer, please contact the caterer first, because they decide how your information is used; we will help them respond.
To use a right, or to raise a complaint, write to our grievance contact below. We will reply within a reasonable time and in any case within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
7. Cookies
Caterly by Platterly uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (secure and not readable by scripts) and small preference cookies. This marketing website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
8. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, per-account separation of data, access controls and activity logs. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
9. Children
Platterly is built for businesses and is not meant for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account owners by email or inside the product.
